About Us

Providence Christian School (PCS) is an independent, nondenominational private school offering a Christ-centered alternative to public school education.  PCS was formed in 2020 at a time when the educational setting and environments were constantly changing for children and for parents. PCS was formed to provide stability for children and their families with a commitment to honoring God, pursuing academic excellence, and providing in-classroom instruction.  We believe that all children learn best with hands-on, in-person learning.

Our curriculum has a Christian Bible-based focus and is taught by degreed and certified teachers in partnership with Enlightium Academy.  Personalized education plans and small class sizes put our students on the best track for continuing education and accelerated growth. Our programs are all fully accredited and allow for a customized education.

As an independent Christian school, we believe that this allows PCS to partner with many churches in our community without unduly leaning toward or emphasizing the ministry of one specific church at the expense of others. In the end, we are all the Body of Christ with the mission of making disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20).

As a board-run Christian school, PCS allows our teachers to focus on the educational excellence of our children's needs while the School Board focuses on the mission and future growth of our school. With support from community leaders and parents, the vision for PCS is to grow our K-12 Christian school known first for honoring God and second for providing an education second to none.

Notice of Non-Discrimination Policy

Providence Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality, gender, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. PCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, gender, and ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, admissions processes, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Providence Statement of Faith

The Bible:  The Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God and is to be our final authority in all matters of our Christian lives and our daily living. (Psalm 12:6; 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 1:13; 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

Godhead: The three Persons of the Godhead -·Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - are co-equal and coeternal and thus represent one True God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:3).

Jesus Christ:  Jesus Christ was both God and man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 4:14-15).

The Holy Spirit:  The Holy Spirit indwells a believer at the moment of salvation and provides the power for Christian living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. All believers receive spiritual gifts that differ, according to the will of God, to be used for the common good (John 14:16-17, 26; 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1).

Creation: The Genesis account of a six-day creation, is to be taken literally and accepted wholly apart from any evolutionary process.

Mankind:  All people are made in the image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God’s creation. (Gen. 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Isaiah 59:1-2, Romans 3:23).  However, by voluntary transgression, man fell. The result of this is that all people are born into sin and are under just condemnation, without defense or excuse.

Salvation: The salvation of sinners is through the voluntary, substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, who bore our sins on His own body. Faith in Christ is the only condition of salvation and repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God, prompted by the Holy Spirit. Because this eternal life is through Jesus Christ all believers are secure in salvation for eternity. Our salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian (John 1:12; 14:6; Romans 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25; 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5).

Acceptance of Christ: All people must be born again in order to be saved. This new birth is instantaneous and not a process.

Eternity:  We are all created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation by acceptance of Jesus Christ. The place of eternal separation from God is called Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal union and eternal life with God (Revelation 20:15; John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 21:27).

His Return: The Lord Jesus Christ will personally, premillennial, and imminently return for His Church, which is our "Blessed Hope."

Holiness:  The pursuit of personal holiness of life, as we are to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, rather than to the world.

Government: The civil government is of divine appointment for the interest and good order of human society.

Marriage, Gender, And Sexuality:  We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.  (Gen 1:26-27).  Marriage between one man and one woman for life reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church.  Eph. 5:21-33. Thus, marriage between one man and one woman serves as the foundational unit of a stable society.  (1 Cor. 7:2).  We believe that any act of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor 6:9-10.)

Redemption: We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11.)

We are Commanded to Love: We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the beliefs of Providence Christian School. (Galatians 5:16-22; 1 John 4:20)

The Sanctity Of Human Life: We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Ps 139.)

Final Authority For Matters Of Belief And Conduct:

This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs upon which our school is founded. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Providence Christian School’s beliefs, faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Directors is the school’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application to the extent that such interpretation is not inconsistent with the above.
